Gutter Stuff® started in 1994 when the sole inventor Robert Jones, who had been in the building and remodeling business for 25 years, came up with the concept of stuffing the gutter with some kind of filter rather than covering it. After trying different types of material like plastic mesh, steel mesh, and different types of foam, he came up with the material that is currently being used and has been tested for the last three years. He then applied for patents that are currently pending. Gutter Stuff® has been available for about a year.
